In the region of Bages there is a very ancient Benedictine monastery founded during the 10th century, it has had a  very troubled life, it was attacked by the muslims during the 12th century, expropiated during the 19th century and during the 20th century, Ramon Casas, the modernist artist became the owner of the ancient monastery and restored it entirely as summer residence with the help of Josep Puig i Cadafalch
